WHAT THIS CELL ADDS

Test,
with context.

01

Product-specific functional test sequence

02

Measured values and defined acceptance limits

03

Clear pass, fail and rework routing

INPUT

What comes in.

A testable unit, a validated fixture and approved acceptance limits.

OUTPUT

What carries forward.

A unit-level test record with measurements and test revision.

PILOT DEFINITION

Prove the operation.
Then scale it.

Start with low-voltage, non-safety-critical electronics. Product certification is a separate activity.

Fixture design, cycle sequence, safety measures and acceptance criteria need to be agreed and validated for the actual application.

Questions before the pilot

How is functional testing different from powering up a board?

Power-up confirms only a limited part of the behaviour. A functional test follows an agreed sequence with defined inputs, expected responses and acceptance limits. Coverage is specific to the product and should include the enclosure, wiring and interfaces where relevant.

Plan this step in the full build.

See the electronics pilot production scope, prepare the readiness checklist and define the functional test plan.
